Every Day is a Fairytale

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a fairytale themed Pop-up Card using dies from Creative Crafter Products & Crafter's Companion.

For the pop-up portion of the card, I used Creative Craft Products' Inside Out Sentiments Best Wishes Card die set. I die cut the pop-up from dark pink cardstock, the photo shows it a lot darker than it actually is.

To decorate the card I used dies from the Crafter's Companion's Once Upon A Time Collection and Zig Zag Scene Builders Collection. The castle is from the Once Upon A Time set from the Zig Zag Collection and the other stamps/dies are from the Once Upon A Time Collection.

The patterned paper is a digital paper from Made To Surprise.

For the two stamped sentiments I used oval dies from Crafter's Companion.

For the front of the card, I used two more die sets from the Once Upon A Time Collection from Crafter's Companion. I used the Ovals and Filigree Ovals die sets from Creative Craft Products.

May Your Day Be Like A Fairytale

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Slimline Pop-up card with you all.

I have been playing recently with some of the amazing papers from Whimsy Stamps. For my card today I decided to use one of the papers from the Enchanted Kingdom Slimline Paper Pad.

To decorate my background I used stamps from MFT Stamps Magical Friends and Magical Dragons stamp sets.

I used an older fairy tale sentiment from CC Designs which I added to a speech bubble from Whimsy Stamps Comic Speech Bubbles die set.

For the inside of my card I used Pinkfresh Studio's Cloud Border Stencil to add clouds to the background of a teal cardstock which I sponged using white ink.

Along the bottom of the card I added two rows of clouds using the cloud border from Honey Bee Stamps Horizon Borders die set. I added a birthday sentiment to the bottom right hand corner of the card.

I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set to add the pop-up mechanism to the top of the card. I added some clouds and the flying dragon to the pop-up.

Day Like A Fairytale

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Manal Habib our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Fairytale Madness - We all have fond memories of the fairytales we heard or read when we were children. So our challenge today is to created something featuring a fairytale, carnival or circus.

I love fairytales, so I decided to go with the fairytale option when creating my card today.

I recently purchased a slimline die and papers from Whimsy Stamps. The die is called Slimline Woodland Cottage, the cottage looks a like a windmill and I love the magical look of the papers. I did some research and discovered there were two fairytales that had a Windmill theme ... one is called The Windmill and the other The Windmill & The Butterfly, so I decided to use those on my card. I added a fairytale sentiment from CC Designs Simply Enchanting stamp set which I have had in my stash for some years.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using Lawn Fawn's Pop Up Hello die set.

I used patterned paper from Trinity stamps and a Slimline die set from Dare 2B Artzy to add the border along both edges of my card.

I added a couple of image that also had a fairy tale theme (nothing to do with windmills) on either side of the pop up. the princess & knight are from Stamping Bella and the castle is from MFT Stamps.

To finish off the card I added another stamped sentiment which was included in the Stamping Bella stamp set.

No One Is Too Old For Fairy Tales

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month is continuing to issue the challenges.

Apparently today is Book Publishers Day  So for our challenge this week we are to create a card which features characters, a theme, or a quote from one of your favorite books!! Bonus points if it is on the current best sellers list!!

Seeing it was a book theme, the first thing I decided was to use Divinity Designs' Book Fold Card with Layers die set to create a book fold card. This die was released in December and I was so happy that it did!

This was the perfect time to use the Clearly Besotted's Fairy Tale Maiden stamp set. I have had this stamp set for some time now and I was so happy when I found out that it would fit onto one side of the "book panels"

I stamped all the images and cut them out and then arranged them on the panel to create a scene.

I wanted to have a prince to rescue the princess who is stuck in the tower, so after going through my stash, settled on this one from Waffle Flower Crafts Level Up stamp set, it was the right size to go with the one of the other side of the book.

I again used the shrubs to create my scene. I also added a sentiment which is from Stamping Bella's Fairy Tale Squidgy stamp set.

For the front of the card I added a Castle using Karen Burniston's Castle Pop-up die set. I love that this can be used flat as well as on a pop-up card. I also added the Happily Ever After sentiment which I die cut from Teal Glitter Cardstock and layered onto white cardstock, offsetting one of the white layers.

No One Is Too Old For Fairy Tales

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Shadow Box Card I created using stamps from Craftin' Desert Divas and dies from Lawn Fawn.

Recently Lawn Fawn released two Add-On die sets for their Shadow Box die set. As I already have the Shadow Box die set, I had to purchase the Add-On die sets and it gives you more options on how to use these dies.

For my card today I pulled out the new Shadow Box Add-On Park die set to use with the Shadow Box die.

Last year I had fun using the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box die set in the centre of the card, so I decided to continue to do that for my card today.

I added the trees from the Add-On die set to the shadow box and also on each end of the card.

To decorate my card I used Craftin' Desert Divas Dragon Tales Clear Stamp set.

Here is another view of my card when it is opened. The grass along the bottom of the card is the grass die included in the Add-On die set which is used inside the Shadow Box.

For the front of the card I added two trees to both edges of the card and added the knight on the horse along with a sentiment.

Believe it's Magic

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Being a brand new month it is time to introduce our new challenge hostess for the month, which is me!!!!

According to the Days of the Year web site, Thursday 2nd March was World Book Day. For our challenge this week take your inspiration for making your card from a book ... adults or children's book whatever you prefer.

As you can see I have chosen Peter Pan as the inspiration for my card.

Earlier in the month I was reorganising my clear and unmounted stamps, it was a lot of work but I now have easier access to a lot more of my stamps. While I was getting the stamps organised in their new homes I came upon this fun The Greeting Farm stamp set called Never Ever. As soon as I saw the stamp set I knew it would be perfect for the challenge.

As you can see I have created a Double Z Fold Pop Up Card. Along the bottom portion of the Z Fold I used the clouds die from the CountryScape Clouds & Grass die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs. I also added the Away with Words - Believe sentiment to the cloud and added the "it's magic" sentiment which is from the stamp set.

I added clouds on the back section for the Z Fold cards so that it would look like the Peter Pan, Wendy and Tinkerbell were flying in the clouds.

I computer generated the sentiment "Flying by with a birthday hi!" and then die cut it  using the ModaScrap Stitched Fishtail Banners.

Here is a close up view of the middle part of my card which is a box shape. Along the two sides I added some London die cut images from an Xcut Build Scene London die set I had to buy when my daughter went to London about two years ago, I am glad I finally found a use for it haha!

I added a couple of 'bridge' pieces to which I added another cloud and Wendy, so she looks like she is also flying (even if she is reading a book).

Finally here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

You Make Me Grin!

Riley1414-Alice2-wm

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time again over on the Riley and Company blog. This time round our challenge hostess is Michele.

For our challenge this week Michele has challenged us to Create a card with coordinating envelope.

Riley1414-Alice6-wm

For my card this week I decided to use Riley and Company’s Sophie in Wonderland; The Moosehatter and You always make me grin to create an accordion card.

For the accordion portion of the card I used the Pop It Ups Fancy Label Accordion Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Crafts Designs. For the frames around each panel I used the Fancy Frame Edges die set using two of the dies from this set.

Riley1414-Alice3-wm

Here is a close up of the first two panels of my Accordion card … I love these fun images from Riley and Company Smile.

Riley1414-Alice4-wm

And another close up this time of the end panels.

Riley1414-Alice-wm

And here is what my card looks like from the front when it is closed up ready to be placed in an envelope.

Riley1414-Alice7-wm

And speaking of envelopes, we were supposed to include a matching envelope with our card for this challenge so here is a close up of my envelope. I stamped Sophie in Wonderland in the bottom left hand corner of my card and also added some frame edging using the Pop It Ups Fancy Frame Edges die set.
