Bundle of Sunshine

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Sunflower Slimline card I created recently. This card uses the September 2021 My Monthly Hero kit which contains the large sunflower image, with coordinating dies and stencils. Normally the kits included smaller images, this time around it is just the one large image and three or four sentiments.

I love how this kit comes with the coordinating stencils which take the hard work out of coloring.

I also used Pink and Main's Plaid slimline die for the background of my card.

For the inside of my card, I used the left over part of the sunflower image I used on the front to add to the bottom left of my card. 

I added the "hello" die which is also included in the kit, adding the other sentiment included in the stamp set.

 

Daffodil Flowerpot Slimline

Yesterday I shared a Slimline card using a tall stamp of a cake that I have had for years from Darcies Country Folk. While I was locating that stamp from my stash I came across two other stamps that were similar, so I pulled them out to use for future cards. Today I am using the Tall Daffodil Flower Pot stamp. Like yesterday's stamp this could be used for a shaker card, but I decided to use it a different way this time. 

For the background of my Slimline card I used Pink and Main's Plaid Slimline die, I die cut the plaid from white cardstock and then layered it onto a pink cardstock panel. This was then mounted onto a side fold Slimline card that measures 3 3/4 inches x 8 3/4 inches.

I paper pieced a plaid paper heart into the centre of the flowerpot, to which I stamped the stamped sentiment. 

On the top of the card I added the "Birthday Wishes" which is from Kaisercraft.

For the inside of the card I used the second largest banner from Pinkfresh Studio's banner which I die cut from the pink cardstock.

I used one of the strips from Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Strips die set to add the yellow strips across the banner.

To finish off the card I added the Happy Birthday using Mama Elephant's Big Happy Birthday die.

Today I am sharing another Slimline card using the Beach Play stamp set from Hello Bluebird, I posted my first card using this set yesterday for a CCEE Stampers challenge, so scroll down to the next post if you missed it.

For the background of this card I used the Pink and Main Sunburst Slimline die. I die cut the slimline die from yellow and blue cardstock. Before paper piecing the sun rays into the sun ray frame I added shading to the ends of the rays using inks and blender brushes.

I used Lawn Fawn's Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders die set to created the sand area along the bottom of the card.

I added a sentiment to the right side of the card using a sentiment from an older MFT Stamps Doodle Garden Stamp set.

To finish off the card I added some birds using Hero Arts Beach Heroscapes Stamp set.

For the inside of the card, I added more sand along the bottom of the card. I added a few more animals and elements from the Beach Play stamp set.

I stamped two sentiments to the top white area of the card. The first sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Kimmie's Beachy Sentiments and the bottom one is from MFT Stamps Drink Up the Sunshine stamp set.

Floral Notes Slimline Birthday

Today I am sharing a floral Slimline card I created recently. Last year Pink and Main released a new Plaid Slimline card, which was a must have ... fortunately my daughter purchased it for me as one of my Christmas presents.

To decorate my card I used Pinkfresh Studio's Floral Notes stamp set and coordinately stencils. I added a birthday sentiment also from the stamp set to the top right side of the card.

For the inside of my card I added a birthday sentiment which is an older stamp from Penny Black Stamps.

I also added a few more flowers from the Floral Notes stamp set.

All I Need Is ....

Apparently today (29th January) is Puzzle Day, so I thought it would be fun to create a puzzle themed card using stamps & dies I had in my stash.

A while ago I purchased Tonic Studios All You Need Is die set, which contains a collage of jigsaws. A month or two ago I was finally able to get hold of Pink & Mains's To Pieces stamp set. As soon as I saw this stamp set I knew I wanted to use it with the jigsaw puzzle die set.

I die cut the top puzzle pieces from white cardstock and then used Distress Oxide Inks in Dried Marmalade & Abandoned Coral inks. I then spritz each of the pieces using Perfect Pearls mixed in water. For the layering pieces I used a pink cardstock and then adhered this to a folded red card.

I stamped the bears and jigsaw pieces and adhered them to the puzzle panels. 

I die cut the "All I Need Is" from red cardstock and adhered it to the puzzle piece. I white embossed the "Love ya to pieces" sentiment. You can read this as both Love ya to Pieces and All you Need Is Love.

For the inside of my card I used two more of the puzzle pieces from the die set, and added two of the bears to the centre of the pieces. I added some hearts die cut from the All You Need Is die set and the sentiment which is from the stamp set.

You've Got A Piece Of My Heart

Welcome to our January Paper Pros challenge, our first challenge for 2019. This month our challenge is hosted by Caz Counsell who has given us the theme  "Love" seeing Valentine's Day is only about a month away.

I wanted to play with a cute little bear set I got recently ... I have been putting this stamp set in my cart for a while now, and by the time I went to check out it was sold out arghhh .... well I finally managed to keep it there long enough to pay for it. 

For my card today, I used Karen Burniston's Frame Pull Pop-up die set. For the heart patterned paper on the folded card base I used the largest square from the Crosshatch Squares die set.

When you "pull" the white pull tab, the card opens up to reveal a cute little pop-up card inside. Here I added a heart to the pop up panel of the card and then another of the cute bears included in the stamp set.

This card has a few different options on how to add the frame pull card pop-up piece. For my card today, I decided to adhere it to the front of a folded card. I die cut a circle opening on both the front and back panel, to help operation the pull tab. 

I also added a sentiment to the inside of the card.

Spectacular

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Joanne Grzelak our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.

Apparently today is World Sight Day. Include glasses, eye charts, or a sentiment related to one’s sight on your card today. 

For my card today I have created another Twist Circle Panel Card using the main pop up die from the Twist Circle Pop Up die set. You can see a video on how easy it is to convert the die to create this style of card on Karen Burniston's blog here. 

I was lucky to still have some glasses designer paper left in a paper pad, so I used that on the inside of the card.

To decorate the panels I added an owl that is wearing glasses from Pink & Main. Two panels alternate die cut glasses and the remaining panel contains a birthday sentiment in the eye chart style.

For the front of the card I added three larger glasses which are also included in the glasses die set I used.

Here you can see my card party open as it is starting to close. You can see how the panels fold together and start to twist on the side.

And finally when the card is closed. Of course it will close a little more then this so it can go in an envelope, but I wanted you to see how the panel part of the card folds down when closed.

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a Teacher Thank You card using stamps I received for Christmas ... of course I had to have these cute Nerd Owls from Pink and Main!

For the inside of the card I added another of the owls. I haven't put a sentiment on the inside so someone can write whatever they want on the inside.
