Well now you can finally find out what Cooper is doing ….. he is all Bundled Up so he can play in the snow!

This is one of the stamp sets that was released by Paper Pretties on Friday, and is called “Bundle Up Cooper”. Isn’t he just adorable!!!!! I used the Martha Stewart Snowflake punch around the page punches to create the snow border around the edge of my card.

This was also for this week's Paper Pretties Wednesday Challenge (PWC86) which was to use sewing on our cards. I stitched around the edge of the designer paper.

Recipe:

Easter Greetings!

alota27-Easter-wm

Greetings Everyone!

My card today is for this week’s challenge over on the Alota Rubber Stamps blog. This week it is my turn to host the challenge, and as I love using my punches on my cards, I decided to make it a punch challenge.

Let's get Punch Happy ..... get those punches out .... borders, shapes or decorative .... let's have some punch fun when we are creating our cards this week! As long as you use at least one punch on your card this week you are fine ... of course you can use as many punches as you wish ... the more the merrier!

Alota Rubber Stamps are not required, but we would love to see them if you have them!

You have until the 31st January (11.59 pm US Pacific time) to complete this challenge, you can enter as many entries as you wish for a better chance of winning!!! You have a chance of winning some wonderful stamps if you card/project is selected randomly from all the entries received.

Would you like to receive 20% discount when you order from Alota Rubber Stamps .... all you have to do is use the coupon code: FBDTCHAL when you place your order. You can use this coupon code as many times as you like throughout January.

For my card I decided to create an Easter card. To create my card I first stamped “Hidden Surprise” onto white card and airbrushed the sky. I then stamped “Klara Sitting/Flowers” on a scrap of white card and cut her out and attached her to the egg using foam tape. I used just the “Easter Greetings” part of the sentiment to complete the stamped portion of my card.

I used a number of punches for this card, first up the Martha Stewart Daisy Border Punch. I also used circle and scallop circle punches for the sentiment. And finally I used a corner rounder to round the bottom corners of the main image.

The layout of the card uses this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge (Mojo121).

Recipe:

Stamps: Klara Sitting/Flower; Hidden Surprise; Sentiment – Alota Rubber Stamps

Paper: White; Burgundy; Pink; DP – Basic Grey

Other: Black Ink; Pink Ink; MS Daisy Border Punch; Circle Punches; Corner Rounder; Glittered Garnishes; Embossing Folder; Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copic Airbrush; Copics

Purr-fectly Fabulous!

totally-fabulous-wm

Hi everyone

My card today uses the new “Glam Kitty” stamp set from Totally Stampalicious. I am just loving this image. The fun thing about Totally Stampalicious is that when you purchase the stamp set you are also sent the digi stamps for the set as well which means no more waiting for your stamps to arrive you can play while you are waiting …. how cool is that.

Totally Stampalicious is also hosting a challenge over on their blog, which is to create a card using shades of purple. This is the card I came up with!

For the layout of my card I used this week’s Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch challenge (MTSC56).

Recipe:

Stamps: Glam Kitty – Totally Stampalicious

Paper: White; Purple; DP – Kaisercraft

Other: Black Ink; Paper Piercing Mat & Tool; Grosgrain Ribbon; Foam Tape; Copics

My To Do List!

mft-do-list-wm

Good morning everyone,

I just had to share this project with you all that I created last night. This project uses 2 of the new stamps sets from MFT Stamps and also their new “To Do” list template that you can also purchase.

This project was inspired by something I received from our local council about 12 months ago … so when I was thinking what stamps to decorate my “To Do” list I decided what better for me but an Owl … after all you know I love owls! So I grabbed the new “Thinking of Hoo” stamp set as well as the new “Make A Date” set and created my to do list.  The Make A Date set is a fun set useful for so many things including calendars, besides the template for the “to do list” you can also purchase calendar templates, templates to create birthday books or perpetual calendars … you can find them all here.

mft-do-list2-wm

Here is a close up of the top section of my “To Do List” before I added the calendar … as you can see the thought bubble that comes with the owl set was the perfect place to add the words I wanted to use for this project.

If you look under the pencil you can see the slot I punched out so that my tear off note book I created could slip into place. The pencil & holder I pinched from the one I got from the council hehe!

BTW I will also tell you how I created my little “tear off notebook” that I used to slip into the slot it is sooooooooooo easy. Just print out the notebook first … I wanted mine smaller then the original size, so I selected the print 2 to a page option on the pdf file when I went to print. As there is only one page to the file you only get two printed on one end of the page but then you put that back into the printer and print more at the other end.

Next I cut all them all out so that they were all the same size and then used a couple of bulldog clips to hold the top together … put the bulldog clips at the side near the top not on the top itself and then just spread a little PVA glue along the top, smooth it out and leave to dry … then you have your own little tear off notebook. Sooooooooooo easy!!!!!

To finish of my To Do List, I added a piece of magnet strip to the back so it can be hung onto the fridge.

Recipe:

Stamps: Thinking of Hoo & Make A Date – MFT Stamps

Paper: White; Burgundy, DP

Other: Black Ink; Burgundy Ink; Slot Punch; PVA Glue; Magnet Strip; Foam Tape; Copics

An Aussie Snowman!

alota-aussie-snowman-wm

Hi everyone,

I have another Alota Rubber Stamp card to share with you today, this time using the “Aussie Snowman” unmounted plate designed by my friend Susan Uncle. I received a card using this set just before Christmas before it was even released and knew as soon as I saw it that is was a stamp I HAD to have hehe! I used a Snow Marker to add snow effects to the sentiment.

Down here in Australia right now we are in the middle of summer so the only type of snowman we could have would be water! It wouldn’t take long to melt at all. Even in winter where I live it doesn’t get cold enough for snow, of course there would be some places where you could make snowmen in winter but not many.

I decided seeing it was an Aussie Snowman to go with bright summery colors for my card.  The layout for this card is a sketch I saw recently online at Michelle Wooderson’s blog, I loved the sketch so just had to use it.

Don’t forget that you can receive 20% discount when you order from Alota Rubber Stamps .... all you have to do is use the coupon code: FBDTCHAL when you place your order. You can use this coupon code as many times as you like throughout January.

Happy Birthday!

C4C-Birthday-wm

Happy Saturday everyone,

Well it is time for another challenge over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess for the month, Lori Boyd challenged us with another fun challenge. So what is the challenge you ask, well as it is Lori’s Birthday this month the challenge was to create a birthday card … now you know you can never have too many birthday cards on hand, right!

As my Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps arrived this week, I decided I had to play with one of those and of course this one called “Francesca” looked perfect for a birthday card with all those cupcakes & candles! I used Nellie’s Multi Frame Rectangle for the red layer underneath my main image.

C4C-Birthday2-wm Here is the inside of my card, as you can see I used the Martha Stewart “Happy Birthday” Deep Edge Punch to create a border. I figured this was enough sentiment so left it at that. I did add some bling to the stars.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Stamps: Francesca – Kraftin’ Kimme Stamps;

Paper: White; Red; Pink; DP – Basic Grey

Wheeeeeeeeeee!

MFTWSC010610-Whee-wm

Hi everyone,

Have you heard of the Wednesday Stamp Club over on the MFT Stamps Member Forum of SCS???

Each Wednesday, (with the exception of the week prior to the release for the next Guest Designer contest) someone from Team MFT will post an idea, project, sample or more to inspire our creativity. On the 1st Wednesday of each month Cindy Haffner and I will be bringing you our sketch challenge … yahhhhhhhh!

To get things started I have designed the first sketch, I hope you like it.

For my card I used one of the new Pure Innocence sets that are due for release later tonight Wednesday 6th January by MFT Stamps. This set is called “Start the Day with Whee!”, this set was inspired by Kim’s daughter Emma who loves to swing. I added 3 of the brown glittered garnishes from the Chocolate Kiss Glittered Garnish Adornment set to the top right hand side of my large circle.

MFTWSC010610-Whee-in-wm

Here is the inside of my card, using the sentiment that is also included in the set.
