Happy Birthday

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a card I made for my sister's birthday, she loves elephants so I always try to make something elephant related for her.

As my sister and I always exchange money on our birthdays, rather than a gift or gift card. I decided to include the money in my card. I used the gift card holder pop up die which is included in the new Sleigh with Gift Card Holder Pop Up Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs. I didn't want the money to be obvious in the card, so I created an envelope the size of a gift card so this can be placed in the slot where a gift card would normally go. For the envelope I finally used my Envelope Punch Board  ... I have made other things using this board, just not envelopes LOL.

The elephant I used here is from Whimsey Stamps.

Another look at my card, this time at a different angle.

Here is a look at my card, this time with the envelope removed. You can see the speech bubble a little better at the top of my card with it removed.

I used one of the labels from the Katie Label Pivot Card die set for the birthday sentiment on the lower base of the card.

A closeup of the Gift Card Holder part of the card.

For the front of my card I used another elephant from Whimsey Stamps. I also used the Crafter's Companion Just for You Edge'ables die at the top of my card.

SO fun - I bet she loves LOVE her card. I have a die that cuts gift card envelopes, so thankfully have never had to get any of the punch boards. Honestly, I don't know where I'd put them in my craft room anyhow! As always Frances, love your colouring.
