Bird-day Bonbon Box

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a gift box I created recently using some new products from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I love making gift boxes and it is even easier to make if you have a die that does the cutting and scoring for you. For my box today I used the new Bonbon Box die from the Els van de Burgt Studios line of dies.

I die cut the box using aqua cardstock and then I sponged stars all over the box using the new A Way with Stencils Butterflies and Stars stencil.

To decorate the box I used the Bird-Day Party stamp set and co ordinating die set. One thing I love about having the co ordinating die set is that I was able to die cut the image from aqua card to match my box and then adhere this die cut behind the die cut stamped image, so that when you look at the box you see aqua behind the images instead of white.

Another view of the Bonbon Box, I love that there is also a die in the co ordinating die set so you can die cut the sentiment if you want to.

Rebus - Animal Groups Names

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since I posted a rebus card, as my friends and I who play this together each month had a break during December. But it is fun to be able to dig into my collection of rebus stamps again and figure out what I could do for my rebus postcard for our January theme.

This month the theme is Names of Animal Groups e.g. Colony of Ants etc.

For my rebus this month I have only rebused the Group not the animal which actually could cover a number of different animals.

If you would like to solve my rebus puzzle, why not post a comment on my blog post with your answers. I will let you know what the correct answers are next time I post a rebus card here.

How did you go solving my November Rebus which was "Things found in a Duchess/Dressing Table". Here are the correct answers so you can check how you did.

  1. Underwear
  2. Perfume
  3. Nail File
  4. Comb
  5. Stockings
  6. Handkerchief
  7. Make Up
  8. Tissues

You can find all my past Rebus Cards here.

Hello

Hi everyone,

My card today uses new products which were released by Elizabeth Craft Designs this month.

I used the straight and scallop fishtail border from the Fishtail Borders die set. I slightly offset the border to get an interesting angle and used the piece that is removed from the "fishtail" for my card. I layered the designer paper over the green and adhered to my card.

The flower and leaves are from the new Stamps by Krista Spring Blooms stamp set which also has coordinating dies which I used to die cut the shapes.

For the inside of my card I used the "fishtail" part of the designer paper (remember I had offset the die which is why it doesn't look exactly like a fishtail) and added it to the bottom of my card and then added the flower and sentiment.

Oh Happy Day

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog.  Caz Counsell our challenge hostess finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Last week the 21st was Squirrel appreciation Day!  Show your love for these furry critters, I you don’t have a squirrel use any one of your favourite ferries.

I do have a squirrel stamp but as you can see by my card I didn't use it as I wanted to play with a new stamp set from Avery Elle that I received for Christmas.

I created a pivot card using the Katie Label Pivot Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

The trees I had to cut by hand, but all the animals I was able to stamp and cut using my Scan N Cut.

I created a cloud stencil by die cutting the cloud from the CountryScape Clouds & Grass die set and then used the stencil to create the clouds on the blue card using Picket Fence Distress Paint.

One of the things I love about this style of card is that you can even decorate the back of the card if you want as I did here.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Tea

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a card using some of the new products released this month from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

For this card I used the Joset's Designs Teacup and Small Cupcake die sets. I die cut the cup, saucer and cupcake using White Soft Finish Cardstock and then used my Copic markers to color them.

I also created a "tablecloth" using the new Fishtail Borders which come in four different borders (straight; scallop; stitched and dotted). For my card I used the Stitched Fishtail Border. I love the amount of options you have using these borders. Of course they will create a fishtail shape, but you also can make use of the "negative" piece you get when you cut a fishtail or as I have done on my card today, die cut the border slightly offset to get an interesting effect.

I added a silver spoon embellishment to my "tablecloth", not sure where I got this but if you keep something long enough you finally need to use it haha!

For the inside of my card I cut another piece of designer paper, this time just as you would a fishtail but used the negative piece rather than the fishtail piece and added that to the bottom of the card.

I die cut another cup to which I added my sentiment.

Snow Fun

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Vicky our challenge hostess for the month is here with one last challenge.

By now we’re in the snow season …. Let’s see an all occasion card – thinking of you, get well, hello …. Any card you can send on a normal day … no birthdays or holidays … and it should have snow on it in one way or another.

Recently while surfing through Facebook, I came across some cute Puppy digital stamps which I NEEDED! While I was purchasing them, I also found this cutie which I thought would be perfect for this challenge. So of course I added it to the cart too haha! The image comes without a mouth so I used a stamp of a mouth that I had in an old faces stamp set.

This card was inspired by a card I created last year, I used the same base and designer paper but other than that is is change.

I wanted my card to look like a snowy scene outside a house. So I added the Garden Notes Carolina Window & Shutters. I added the snow bank from the Pop it Ups Outdoor Edges and on each sided I added some winter trees using the CountryScapes - The Woods 1.

For the sentiment along the bottom edge of the card I used the "Play" from the new A Way with Words Fun Play die set. For the "Let's" I used the A Way with Words Let it Snow die set and separated the "Let" and used the "S" for the word "snow" to finish the word.

For the inside of the card I added some more of the brick designer paper along the bottom edge of the white panel. I then used the word "snow" for the A Way with Words Let' It Snow die set and the word "Fun" from the A Way with Words "Fun Play" die set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

ECD January Coloring Designer Challenge

Hi everyone,

This year the Elizabeth Craft Designs Coloring Design Team have reintroduced the Designer Challenge. From February on we will host our challenge on the third Tuesday of the month. For January we are playing a week later to allow for the beginning of the year and for all the new products to get to our new Design Team Members.

Our challenge this time round is .... Cute Critters - Include one or more critters on your card or project.

Elizabeth Craft Designs has a number of new stamp sets being released which include some cute critters in them, it was almost tough to make a decision as to which stamp set to use for this challenge. In the end I decided to use the cute monkey included in the Jungle Cuties stamp set. There is also a coordinating die set to accompany the stamp set, which makes it even easier to cut out all the images.

For my card today I decided to create a baby card using two of the new stamp sets. I have used Zoo Babies and Jungle Cuties. I love how adorable these images are. The new stamp sets also have coordinating dies to go with all the images which makes it super easy to stamp and cut out any of the images you want to use.

As you can see I have created an Combo Accordion Card using the Pop It Ups Gift Card Accordion and the Pop It Ups Oval Landscape Accordion die sets.

For the centre page of my accordion card I used the baby sentiment from the  A Way with Words -Baby Love die set. I die cut the word three times using cardstock that had Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape on the back and layered the three sentiments together to give dimension.

I added the word "Boy" which is from the Pop It Ups Baby Clear Stamp set.

Here is my card closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Don't forget to check out the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog to see all the wonderful creations by our talented designers.

Dog-gone Happy Birthday

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing a card using a digital stamp I purchased recently, I fell in love this cute dog image! I have created an Easel Card by just folding the front of the card in half and added a label to the bottom half of the card.

Here is another view of my card so you can see the folds a little easier. I added a couple of strips of cardstock along the edge of the base and front of the card for a little extra decoration. On the ends of the strips I added Black/Silver Glitter Dots Peel Off Stickers.

I added a dog themed sentiment for the birthday greeting on the base card.

Here is a look at the front of the card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Happy Bird-day!

Hi everyone,

Today I have another card to share using the new Stamps by Krista range of stamps available soon from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

For my card today I have used the Bird-day Party stamp set to create a birthday card. I stamped the birds and cake on White Soft Finish Cardstock and then used one of the Stitched Fishtails dies to cut out the card. This was then layered onto a fishtail die cut from the Fitted Fishtails die set.

For the sentiment I die cut the sentiment using the Moda Scrap Stitched Fishtail Banners die set.

For the inside of my card I die cut a square from the Fitted Squares die set and stamped the bird, balloon and colored flowers.

Happy

Hi everyone,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. This week our challenge hostess Caz Counsell continues to issue the challenges.

This week being the third Saturday of the month it is time for a sketch challenge.

When I looked at the sketch for this week's challenge it reminded me of the edge on the ModaScrap Lace Pocket die which has recently been released by Elizabeth Craft Designs. So of course I had to use that for my card today.

I decorated my card using the new ModaScrap Lacy Poppies which I just love. In the centre of the large poppy I added black prills for a bit of dimension. I also added the word "Happy" from the new Happy Birthday die set.

For the inside of the card I created a Pop Up using the Lorna Labels Pop Up Card designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I decorated the inside using the ModaScrap Lace Pocket on both the top and bottom of the card. I added the "Birthday" part of the Happy Birthday to finish off the sentiment I started on the front of my card. I also added the XOXO twice along the box part of the pop up.

Here is another view of the inside of my card so you can see the pop up part of my card a little easier.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Spring Blooms

Hi everyone,

Today I am sharing another card using one of the new stamp sets to be released soon by Elizabeth Craft Designs. The flower is from the new Stamps by Krista Spring Bloom stamp set. After stamping out the flower on white card twice, I then used the coordinating dies to die cut both images. I love how easy it is to line up the dies to die cut the image ... perfection!

As you can see I have created an accordion card using the Fancy Labels Accordion Card die set designed by Karen Burniston for Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Here is a look at the front of the card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.
