Hi Crafty Friends,
I have a Christmas themed Slimline card on my blog today using Slimline dies from The Ton.
For this card I used the Holiday Borders die set, the borders themself does cut a border like a normal border die but rather cuts fun patterns into the border. You can use just the one border, or use a number together to create an interesting pattern. For this card I used two of the larger borders and two of the smaller to create the design on the blue cardstock. If you look closely at the blue panel, you can see lots of dots which also form part of the pattern.
After creating the pattern on the blue panel I adhered a piece of clear double sided adhesive tape to the back of the panel. I then added Warm Diamond Silk Microfine Glitter through the openings. This panel was then layered to silver cardstock and then a top folding white card.
I used Karen Burniston's Merry Christmas sentiment for the centre of the card, die cutting the sentiment from silver and blue cardstock and offsetting the silver over the blue. I used Spellbinders Mega Ovals to layer the sentiment.
For the inside of the card I used the snowflake border from the Holiday Borders die set to die cut the narrow blue panel for the bottom of the card
I added a Christmas Sentiment from The Ton's Easy Expressions: Holiday stamp and coordinating die set.
