Merry Mice

 Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

This is our last challenge for 2020, so everyone can enjoy spending time with family and friends over the Christmas Season. But we will be back in January for more challenges.

The Glow of Christmas ... 2020 has been a bleak and dark time for us all, so for our final challenge for the year, Lynn asks us that the card we create this week reflect a seasonal light of hope and promise for a brighter new year. It can be represented by a candle, the lights on a Christmas tree, the star of Bethlehem, or any other light that comes to mind.

For my card today I used Hello Bluebird's Merry Mice stamp set. I purchased this stamp set earlier in the year prior to COVID 19, but I put it aside to use when I was ready to make Christmas cards. I have finally gotten around to using it.

For the background of my card I used two Slimline dies. The first is The Ton's Dot Coverplate die, I die cut the die from white cardstock and then used Distress Oxide inks in Broken China, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire to add color to my sky.

I also used Mama Elephant's Slim Woodland die. I die cut this twice ... once from white cardstock and once from brown. I cut the snow portion off the white die cut and adhered it to the snow area on the brown die cut.

I used Hello Bluebird's Treehouse die set which I assembled and placed in the centre of the scene. All these pieces were adhered together and added to a top folding Slimline card which measures 8 1/2 inches x 3 1/2 inches.

I decorated the card using the Merry Mice and the Treehouse Holiday Add-on die set (the lights).

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card. I used The Ton's Slimline Dot Coverplate die to add the sky to the back panel of the card.

Along the bottom edge, I used the border die from Mama Elephant's Slimline Basics die set.

I used Karen Burniston's Mini Pops Pop-up die set to add the mice to the card, I also added the lamp which is another image that fits the theme for this week's challenge.

To finish off the card, I added the "Merry Christmas" sentiment which is from Crafter's Companion's Merry Edgeablities die set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:
