Celebrate with Gifts

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Karen Ostergard our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.

Being the third weekend of the month, it's time for a sketch challenge.

I changed up the sketch slightly by creating a Slimline Card rather than an A2 sized card.

I used Pinkfresh Studio's Double Chevron Stencil to create my background panel using Catherine Pooler inks in rainbow colors. Once I had and color  through the stencil the first time, I then cleaned the stencil, turned it upside down and added color a second time.

After creating the background panel, I used Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set to die cut the background panel and the white panel adhered to the folded white Slimline card base.

The gift image is from Beccy's Place Celebrations stamp set, I used Waffle Flower Crafts A7 Layers die set to create the layers for the gift image.

I pulled out some fishtail banner dies to create the fishtail pieces at the bottom of the image panel.

The red strip across the image panel was die cut using Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Strips die set.

To finish the front of the card I added the "celebrate" sentiment from the stamp set.

For the inside of the card, I created a double pop-up using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

I created another background panel using the same stencil and ink colors that I used for the front of the card. I cut this in half so I could adhere a half to each edge of the left and right sides of the card.

I added sentiments and a gift from the Celebrations stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
