Happy New Year 2021

Hi Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year Everyone, I hope 2021 brings all things good to you all.

2020 I think we can all agree was a year like no other, and one we never want to be repeated and if we ever get the chance to time travel, wouldn't want to ever go back to LOL!

For my card today I am sharing a New Year themed Slimline card I created to help celebrate the new year.

My card is a Slimline version of a new years card I made a few years back, just changing up the colors and size of the card.

For this card I created a foiled background using Spellbinders Modern Lines Glimmer Plate. As the lines go down rather than across, I had to position the glimmer plate on my teal cardstock 4 times to foil the whole panel using gold foil.

Once the foiling was complete I used a Slimline die from Trinity Stamps Slimline Stitched Card Panels and Windows die set to die cut the panel. This was then layered onto a piece of gold card and then onto a side folding aqua card base. My finished card measures 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches.

I used star dies from Divinity Designs Double Stitched Stars die set to die cut the 4 stars which I die cut from aqua and gold glitter cardstocks. I used Lawn Fawn's Oliver's Stitched 123s for the numbers in each star.

I gold foiled the "Happy New Year" sentiment using Spellbinders Holiday Sentiments Glimmer Plate set.

For the inside of my card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

I used Catherine Pooler Designs "Celebrate" die to add the sentiment to the oval panels which were die cut using older oval dies in my stash.

I used the Modern Lines Glimmer Plate to gold foil another panel of teal cardstock which I cut down to add to both edges of my card.

To finish off the card I added teal and gold glitter stamps over the inside.

Wow - with all the foiling, I bet this is spectacular in real life!
