Super Heroes Comic Slimline

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog.  As challenge hostess for the month, I finish off the month with one last challenge.

Super Heroes - Yesterday 28th April was Superhero Day. Include a superhero or two on your card this week. (Interpret Superhero any way you like.

Having a daughter who has always been interested in Super Heroes, I seem to have collected super hero stamps and dies over the years. My latest addition to my collection is Mama Elephants Little Superhero Agenda stamp set, so I decided to use that to create my card today.

Mama Elephant also recently released a Slim Comic Strip die set, which includes the comic strip frame and the speech bubbles that have the different words. So I created a Slimline card using this stamp set.

I few years ago I purchased Sunny Studio Stamps Heroic Halftones paper pad which works perfectly with the die set and images.

I added the cityscape die from Mama Elephant's Slim Film City die set.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card. I used another piece of the paper that I used on the front of the card, which I added to the back panel and about an inch to the edge of the bottom edge of the card.

I used the cityscape die again to add to the back panel.

To create the pop-up portion of the card I used the smaller of the angled platforms to add the 4 little pop ups along the fold of the card. I then added the cute little superheroes.

I added the birthday sentiment to the base of the card using two sentiments from Penny Black's Wet & Wild stamp set.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Love all these little superheroes with their own frame featuring them like in the comics. Your cards are remarkable little story books and so glad you share them with us each week.
