Sympathy Z Fold

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Z Fold Card using stamps, dies and papers from the Divinity Designs January 2022 Blessings Box.

Some of the products included in the Blessings Box this time around have a sympathy theme, there are two sympathy themed stamp sets and 2 word die sets.

I have created a Z Fold Card using Divinity Designs Z Fold with Layers die set. For each of the layers on this card I added papers from the Beauty in Blooms 6 x 6 Patterned Paper Pad.

I used the Slimline With Sympathy and Layers die set which I added to the front of the card. I die cut the letters from bright pink cardstock and then die cut the shadow dies from vellum.

On the centre panel I added a cross using the Layering Crosses die set which is one of the die sets from the February/March Release.

On the far right panel I added a sentiment from the 'Sorry for your Loss" stamp set. I layered this using the Double Stitched Circles and Circles die set. I then used the Spiral Sphere die for the bottom layer, this is another die included in the Blessings Box.

I added the cross again on the centre panel on the back of my card, placing it a little higher on my card, so it could be seen when the card is closed.

On the back of the front panel, I added another sentiment from the "Sorry for your Loss" stamp set, using the Double Stitched Circles and Circles die sets for layering.

Today I am sharing a Slimline card I created using some new stamps and dies I received recently.

For the images, I used a new to me brand of stamps ... Curly Sue Turtle Stamp set. This is a set I received from a friend for Christmas. The sentiment at the top of the card was also included in the stamp set.

For the inside of my card I used Whimsy Stamps' Slimline Cornered Rectangles die set.

I added two more turtles to the bottom corners of the card.

I used sentiment from MFT Stamps Old Friends stamp set and the Curly Sue Turtles stamp set.

Sending Love Hearts

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Liz Williams, our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Valentine’s Day is a big card sending holiday, so make a special Valentine’s card or a friendship card using a style you love and mail in to someone you love.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

For my card today, I created a Mini Slimline pop-up card using Karen Burniston's new Heart Collage Collage Pop-up. I decorated the pop-up using the hearts included in the die set, die cutting the hearts from various colors of cardstock; glitter cardstock and patterned paper.

I also used the Hearts - Crosshatch die set, which I placed at the top right hand corner of my card. This is a place to add a hand written sentiment.

For the sentiment I used the new Sending Love Word die set, adding the "sending" to the top hearts and the "Love" to the bottom left hand corner of my card.

I kept the front of my card fairly simple as the focus is on the inside of the card. I added hearts using the Hearts - Crosshatch die set and the "Hugs" sentiment from the Word Set 14 - Hugs die set.

Fairy Accordion Card

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a fun fairy themed accordion card to share with you today.

I recently found some of the Creative Expressions Paper Cuts Collection Fairy Edger dies on sale. As I am loving this style of die, I had to add a few to my cart to include in my stash. All the recent cards I have made using the edger dies from this company, have been Slimline cards so I decided it was time to do something different this time around. While I was surfing the internet for ideas, I discovered a fun accordion fold card using this type of die. I decided upon a 2 Panel Accordion card, you can find a quick tutorial of how to create this card over on Jamie Rodgers blog

I didn't want mine to be as big as the one on his blog, so I adjusted the measurements to be 6 3/4 inches high x 8 3/4 inches, I scored the 8 3/4 inch side at 3/8 inch; 1 3/8 inch; 2 1/4 inch; 3 1/8  inch.

I used pink glitter cardstock to add the layers to each of the scored areas and also on the far right panel.

For the accordion panels I used Creative Expressions Paper Cuts Collection - Toadstool Dance Edger and Daisy Fairy Edger die sets, which I die cut from white cardstock.

For the sentiments, I pulled out Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Fairy stamp set from December 2018. I stamped each of the sentiments using Catherine Pooler Sparkling Berry.

I added stars around the sentiments using a star stamp from Altenew's Halftone Stars stamp set.

For the far right panel, I added a birthday sentiment using Scrappy Tails Crafts' Fairy Sentiments stamp set. I used oval dies from Hero Arts to create the oval layers.

Deepest Sympathy

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a sympathy card to share with you today, using stamps, dies and papers from Divinity Designs January Blessings Box. I had recently been searching for some new sympathy stamps/dies, so I was looking forward to receiving this blessings box.

For my card today I used the Mandala Petal Background die set to create the background and also the label for the sentiment. I used one of the patterned papers from Beauty in Bloom Paper Pad which is a 6 x 6 paper pad. I just love all the papers in the collection.

I used Divinity Designs A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer and the Matting Rectangle die sets to layer my background layer to my card.

I added a sympathy sentiment from the new Sorry for your Loss stamp set.

To decorate my card I used the flower from the Pretty Posies die set and the leaves from the Bitty Blossoms die set.

To finish off the card I added a few pearls to the centre of the flowers and around the edge surrounding the label.

For the inside of the card, I added a piece of the patterned paper along the left edge of the card. I stamped a sentiment from the Sorry For Your Loss stamp set onto white cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment using the labels die included in the Mandala Petals Frames die set.

HB2U

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a Full Front Shaker Slimline Card to share with you all today. This style of shaker card is called either a Full Front Shaker or a Flat Shaker Card.

To create my card, I started by creating the floral background using Picket Fence Studios' Slim Line Lots of Blossoms Stencil. I used Catherine Pooler inks in rainbow colors to add color to the stencil.

For the shaker portion of the card, I used Picket Fence Studios' Slimline Full Front Shaker die set to die cut my clear packaging. I wrapped this around my background panel, adhering it to the back. Before closing the top tab, I added white, clear and pink sequins.

This panel was then adhered to a pink slimline panel die cut using the Slimline Die Cutting System also from Picket Fence Studios. This was then adhered to a side folding Slimline Card that measures 3 3/4 inches x 8 3/4 inches.

I die cut the HB2U word die (another Picket Fence Studios die) from pink glitter, which I adhered to the centre of the card.

Finally I added the "Time to Celebrate" sentiment from MFT Stamps Bitty Birthday Wishes.

For the inside of my card, I added the stencilled borders along each of the edges.

I created a pop-up card using Katherine Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

For the top sentiment, I used a birthday sentiment from The Stamping Village's Birthday stamp set. The bottom sentiment is from a Clearly Besotted stamp set.

Bunny Kisses

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a fun Easter themed Accordion card to share with you today.

For the base of my card I used Divinity Designs Accordion Card with Layers die set to create the accordion base. I decorated each of the panels using paper from the Slimline Spring Flowers 2 Paper Pad.

As you can see by the photo above, the card folds flat to fit into a standard A2 envelope.

I used oval dies for the layers using the Ovals and Double Stitched Ovals die sets.

The bunny and sentiments are all from the new Bunny Kisses stamp set.

Let's Hit the Slopes

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Being a brand new month, it's time to introduce a new challenge hostess which is Liz Williams.

During the month of February, the world’s biggest winter sporting event that happens  four years, will be held in Bejing, China for the Winter Olympics.  Make a card representing one of those winter sports being featured.  For embellishment, add a little gold or silver.

I have had a couple of products from Hello Bluebird for a while, which perfectly fit this challenge. So it was good to be able to pull them out to create my card for today. I used the Bunny Hill Stamp set and the Slimline Downhill Vertical Scene die set.

I googled country uniform colors for olympics to decide on the colors to use when coloring the animals used in this scene ... the tiger represents Australia, the others could be a few different countries.

I used a sentiment from the Bunny Hill stamp set for the bottom sentiment, the "Go For Gold!" sentiment is from an older MFT Stamp set.

For the inside of the card, I added the slopes using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Hillside Borders die set and two more of the animals.

For the sentiment I added the "Way to Go" from Karen Burniston's Word Set 8 - Congrats die set. I die cut the top layer from gold cardstock to cover the gold portion of the challenge.

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Divinity Designs February 2022 Release

 Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two cards I created using new products from Divinity Designs February/March 2022 Release. This month Divinity Designs are releasing three new stamp sets, five new die sets, there new Foiling/Die Duo sets and two slimline paper pads.

I am so excited to see that Divinity Designs is now selling Hot Foil Stamps, I have had a Hot Foil Machine for about 4 or 5 years.

For my first card today I have created a Centre Step Card using the Center Step Card with Layers die set. I die cut the base  from white cardstock and used one of the papers included in the Slimline Heavenly Skies Paper Pad for the layers.

I used the new Sunburst & Cross Foiling/Die Duo to gold foil the sunburst and cross. For the sunburst I gold foiled the design directly to the patterned paper so that the centre of the sunburst was over the white circle on the paper. I then die cut the gold foiled cross using the coordinating die. I layered the cross over the sunburst, adhering it with foam tape so it  was over the bottom section of the sunburst.

For the sentiment I used the new Easter Greetings stamp set, gold embossing the sentiment.

For the inside of the card, I added another piece of the patterned paper along the bottom of the card. I also added the "Easter Greetings" sentiment.

For my second card, I used two more of the new Foiling /Die Duo sets as well as a new layering die.

The background of my card uses the new Chevron Foiling Plate which I gold foiled onto white cardstock. I die cut the panel using one of the rectangles from the Double Stitched Rectangles die set. I used Divinity Designs blending brushes to add pink, yellow and blue ink over the background.

This background was then layered onto the a top folding A2 Card using the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer die set.

The Easter Egg was created using the new Egg Layering Combo die set.

I used the Easter Words Foiling/Die Duo to add the "Easter" & "Greetings" words which were both gold foiled.

For the inside of my card I used the rectangle from the Double Stitched Rectangles and the layering die from the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer die set.

I stamped the bunny and Easter sentiment using the Bunny Kisses stamp set.

February 2022 Karen Burniston Designer Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to our February Karen Burniston Designer Challenge.

Check out Karen Burniston's blog on Wednesday (US Time) when you will be able to see what all the designers created for the challenge this month, plus Karen will have an amazing video tutorial to share with us all.

Our challenge theme this month is ... "MOD VALENTINES" - make a Valentines or Love-themed card WITHOUT using red or pink as the primary colors. Think blues, greens, oranges, yellows, browns, purples, grays, black and white, etc.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

For my card today I went with a love mail theme using Karen Burniston's new Mail Box Pop-up die set. As you can see I went with a mostly purple and green color combo.

I used purple heart patterned paper from Paper House, for all the layers of my card. The grass along the bottom of the card uses Lawn Fawn's Watercolor Wishes Patterned Paper.

I die cut the mail box using silver mirror cardstock, the mail box looks a lot better in real life then it does on the photo above. I used the envelope and hearts included in the Mail Box Pop-up die set to add all the envelopes and hearts. I die cut most of the envelope from the reverse side of the purple heart paper.

The "Love" sentiment is from the Sending Love die set.

To decorate my card I added the "owl posties", parcel and the stamped sentiment from two Lawn Fawn stamp set.

I kept the front of my card simple, as the focus of the card is on the inside.

I added the hearts using the Hearts - Crosshatch die set. The sentiment is included in the Word Set 9 - Love die set.
