Hi Crafty Friends,
It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I continue to issue the challenges.
Just like Slimline Cards, Mini Slimline Cards are also becoming very popular, for our challenge this week create a Mini Slimline card. Typically Mini Slim Line Cards are either 3 1/2 inches x 6 inches or 3 inches x 6 inches. More info on Mini Slimline cards can be found in the files section of the Slimline Card Addicts Facebook Group.
When I was looking through the stash of stamps and dies that sit on my table, I came across Hello Bluebirds Ocean Scene die which I haven't used as yet, looking at it I could see how it could be used as a grass scene rather than an ocean one. I die cut the Ocean Scene die from white cardstock and then used Distress Oxide inks in green and grey to color each of the various piece. I layered this onto a Mini Slimline panel that I die cut using Waffle Flower Crafts' Mini Slimline Layers die set. This rectangle panel I colored using blue inks.
To decorate my card I used stamps from Lawn Fawns Happy Hugs stamp set.
For the "Thinking of You" sentiment I used the sentiment stamp with coordinating die from Honey Bee Stamps Thinking of You Big Time stamp set.
For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using the pop-up die from Karen Burniston's Street Lantern Pop-up die set.
I used Lawn Fawn's Sending Big Hugs die which I die cut from cardstock blended with blue inks and black cardstock and layered together to off set. I then added a few of the animals from Happy Hugs stamp set.
Along the bottom of the card I added the grass and path I created using the Hello Bluebird's Ocean Scene die. Along the top edge of my card I added clouds using Trinity Stamps Slimline Scene Border die set.
