Today I am sharing a Slimline card I created recently.

To create the slimline portion of the card I used Spellbinders Hemstitch Slimline die set. I die cut the smaller of the two panels from white cardstock and the larger one from red. I also die cut both a second time from black cards which is layered under the main panels so the black shows through the stitching.

I used Simon Says Stamps "I Love Small Dots" stencil to add a rainbow dotted background to the white panel.  After adding the dots with the stencil I then used the same inks to cover the whole panel.

I used Simon Says Stamp's You're the Best sentiment die to add the sentiment to the card. To finish off the card I added clear half circle gems to the front panel.

For the inside of my card I die cut the small panel again from white and black cardstock, as I did on the front of the card. I then layered this to a white rectangle panel.

I added two sentiments from Honey Bee Stamps Pickup Lines stamp set.

Today I am sharing a card I created using stamps, dies and papers from Divinity Designs.

For my card today I created a Step Panel Card using Divinity Designs Pop Up Card with Layers die set. for the layers my card I used papers from the Star Shaker Kit Brights Slimline Paper Pad which was included in the January 2021 Blessings Box. 

To decorate my card I used stamps from the Party Time Stamp/Die Duo set. The sentiment uses the Happy Birthday and Layers die set. I used the Double Stitched Circles and Circles die set for the layering of the images.

I decorated the back of my card, so that I could include extra sentiments and also have a place to write a handwritten greeting.

I added grass along the bottom of the card using  the Grass Hill die set. I added the rabbits and two sentiments from the Party Time stamp/die duo set.

The card folds flat so it can be placed in an envelope ready for mailing.

STAMPtember - Riley and Company

As many of you probably know this month is "STAMPtember" over on Simon Says Stamp. During this month Simon Says Stamp collaborates with other stamp manufacturers to bring you special limited edition collaboration sets. These sets are only available through Simon Says Stamp and as they are limited edition, once they are sold out, they are not available anymore. STAMPtember stamps are only available for the month of September.

You can purchase either the  I Like You stamp set or the I Like You stamp and die set for a limited time, while supplies last.  The exclusive collaborations are selling out in record time this year, so act fast if you can.

I was excited to see "Riley" featured again in this years STAMPtember, especially since I have been involved with Riley since he first made his debut many years ago. Like last year Riley is with his friend Simon (from Simon Says Stamp).

I created an autumn themed pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Garden Bench Pop up die set.  To complete my scene I used the grass die from the Long Nature Edges die set which I added to the bottom edge of the card and also long the fold on the back panel. 

For the trees I used the trunk and branches from the Tiny Trees Pop-up die set. The trunk does have a cut in it, to allow it to be used to make a 3D tree, so I placed my top cutting plate just above that so this part of the trunk didn't cut. This also allowed me to make the bottom of the trunk a little longer. The leaf on the pillows is also from the Tiny Trees Pop-up die set.

I die cut a rectangle panel using the Crosshatch Rectangles die set, which I placed to the right at the bottom edge of the card. This gives me a place to write a handwritten greeting.

For the sentiment, I stamped it onto white cardstock and then cut the rectangle panel and layered it onto rust cardstock.

For the front of the card, I added the two patterned papers I used on the inside of the card.

I stamped the Riley/Simon image again on white cardstock and die cut that and the rust oval using dies from the Crosshatch Ovals die set.

I added the Hi sentiment which I die cut using the sun from the Landscape Scene die set and a circle from the Crosshatch Circles die set.

Thinking of You

t’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. Karen Ostergard our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off her month with one last challenge.

This week Karen has asked us to create a monochromatic card.

For my card today I decided to create a Slimline Fold Flap card. One the front rectangle I added the "Thinking of You Perfect Pairings" die set from Concord & 9th. To give it a glittered look, before die cutting the sentiment I added Clear Double Sided Adhesive Tape to the front of the cardstock and then added Cool Diamond Silk Microsoft Glitter over the sentiment.

For the inside of my card I used Woodware's Ode To You Slimline stamp which I placed as close to the fold as possible so it couldn't be seen when the card was closed.

On the left flap, I added the flowers from the frame included in Concord & 9th's Thinking of You Perfect Pairings stamp set.

Honeycomb Buzzing Gnome

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a super cute gnome/bee themed Mini Slimline card I created recently using dies and papers from Divinity Designs.

To create the Mini Slimline portion of the card, I used the Mini Slimline Card Base; Mini Slimline Layering Rectangles and Mini Slimline Rectangles die set. I die cut the patterned paper from the Mini Slimline Layering Rectangles die set and one of the patterned papers from the Buzzing Gnomes Paper/Die Duo set. I am just loving the gnomes and papers included in this set and you even get a die to cut out all the gnomes on the colored gnome paper sheets that are included in the set, and you will be able to make many many cards using the amount of gnomes included in the pack.

To decorate my card I used the Honeycomb Layering Combo die set, to make up two layered honeycombs which I adhered to the base of the card.

I then added one of the cute gnomes and two flowers from the Gnome Paper sheet included in the Buzzing Gnomes Paper/Die Duo Set. The bee were made using the Busy Bee die set.

For the inside of the card, I added another gnome and die cut bee. I also added the "Bee Happy" sentiment using the Bee Happy die set.

Tiny Haunted House Slimline

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lois Bak our challenge hostess for the month continues to issue the challenges.

Apparently yesterday was the Autumnal Equinox. Create a Fall-themed card. 

For my card today I created a Halloween Slimline card where the front of the card is 3/4 the length of the back of the card.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

To create my card I cut two pieces of orange cardstock for the base. The back measures 3 5/8 inches x 8 5/8 inches. The front is 3 5/8 inches x 6 inches, I then scored along the long side of this panel at 1/2 inch to adhere this panel to the back panel.

I used papers from Pebbles "Spoooky" paper pad and black cardstock to layer each of the panels inside and out.

To decorate my card I used the Tiny House Pop-up and Haunted Tiny House Add-ons die set to create my haunted house pop up card.

I used a circle die from the Circles - Crosshatch die set to add the moon to the top left corner of my card. I added the bat which is included in the Haunted Tiny House Add-ons to the moon.

The tree is from the Halloween Scene die set.

The spider, web. ghost, pumpkin are all from the Haunted Tiny House Add-ons die set.

To the right of the haunted house I added the "Happy Halloween" sentiment using the Happy Halloween die set, I added another of the ghosts just above the sentiment.

To the far right of the card I added a different patterned paper which will show when the card is closed.

Here is a look at the front of my card, you can see how the house paper shows from the front.

To the front panel I added the fence from the Iron Fence Pop up die set. I cut off the wide panels and pieced together two black fences so it fitted the width of the front panel. I then die cut two white fences and adhered them underneath the back fence to create a shadow.

I added the "Boo!" sentiment from the Halloween Elements die set which is layered to an oval from the Ovals - Crosshatch die set.

I finished off the card by adding three ghosts and another pumpkin.

Grandma

Hi Crafty Friends,

Someone I know is going to become a Grandma for the first time in December, her daughter is having a baby boy. Of course I wanted to make a special card to give to her to celebrate the event.

I recently purchased this gorgeous Special Delivery Edger from Creative Expressions, so of course I decided to use that to create my card. This great thing about this die is that it can be used to create cards in various sizes including Slimline cards, which is what I created for my card today.

I used papers from Craft Consortium's Ink Drops - Vivid 12 x 12 Paper Pad to add the papers on the front and inside of my card.

I splattered white pearl paint to the white area of the card, masking off the stork and baby.

To finish off the front of the card I added the "Grandma" sentiment die from Cottage Cutz, which I believe is now retired.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set. 

I used Dare 2B Artzy's Curve Slimline Border Die set to add the borders to both edges of the card.

On the bottom left label, I added a baby using Marianne's Design Eline's Baby die & coordinating stamp set. The "It's A Boy" sentiment is also from this stamp set.

For the sentiments on the top right label, I used older sentiments from two MFT Stamp sets.

Wild Birthday Wishes

Today I am sharing a "Wild Birthday" Slimline card I created recently.

To create my card I used Whimsy Stamps Slimline Cornered Rectangle Dies to create the base layers of my card. I also used their Peeking Giraffes to add the two giraffes to my card.

I used Dare 2B Artzy's Slim Tropical Leaf Border die set to add the leaves along the bottom of my card.

The sentiment is from Avery Elle's Peek-a-Boo Jungle Stamp set.

For the inside of my card I added another of the giraffe's included in the Peeking Giraffes stamp set.

I also added the Tropical Leaf Border along the bottom of my card.

I used Hello Bluebird's "Wild About You" die set for part of the sentiment, cutting off the "you" at the bottom, so I could add the "Your Birthday" underneath.

Today I am sharing a card I created using stamps, dies and papers from Divinity Designs September release.

For my card today I created a Step Panel Card using the new Pop Up Card with Layers die set. The gnomes, flower and papers used to decorate this card are from the Buzzing Gnomes Paper/Die Duos set. I so love the papers included in this set, especially the gnomes that has a coordinating die included in the set so you can die cut the gnomes and accessory images included.

The bees use the new Busy Bee die set. I also used the new Bee Happy dies for the sentiment.

For the back of the card I added another rectangle panel to add more images and sentiments. This is also a good place to add your hand written sentiment.

Along the bottom of the card I added a grass border using the Grass Lawn die.

The card folds flat so it can be placed in an envelope to be mailed.
