Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I finish off the month with one last challenge.

Last Monday was Go For A Ride Day. For our challenge this week, create a card that features something you might ride on … car, bus, bike, truck, horse etc.

I had used this Honey Bee Stamps Big Pickup sets last month for a challenge, using it as a shaped card. However as I had recently purchased the newest Christmas themed add-on stamp set for these sets, I decided to pull it out to use for my card for today's challenge.

I created a 5 inch x 7 inch card to use to create my Christmas scene, this size works well with the pickup truck, giving more room to create a scene around it.

For the front of the card I used the Big Pickup Tailgate stamp set to create the truck and then used the Loads of Holiday Cheer stamp set to use for the trees, elves and all the gifts etc in the back of the pickup truck.

I used The Ton's Slimline Dots Coverplate to use for the snowy sky.

For the snow at the bottom of the card I used Honey Bee Stamps Horizon Slimline Borders die set.

As the Big Pickup Tailgate stamp set also has the Big Pickup Cab stamp set that coordinates with it which shows the front view of the truck, I wanted to incorporate that on the inside of the card.

I added the front of the pick up truck to the left side of my card, which is behind the truck on the front. I also added more trees, snow and an elf.

I love that the new Loads of Holiday Cheer stamp set includes the front and back view of Santa which fits into the truck.

On the right side of my card, I added more snow, trees, elves and Santa's sack.

For the sentiment I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up to create the pop up. The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Pickup Lines for the top two lines and Elizabeth Craft Designs Holiday Sparkle stamp set which is part of the Classic Christmas Special Kit.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.
