Sugar Pug Fairy

Hi Crafty Friends,

Last week I shared a card using Creative Craft Products A6 Window Card from their Fancy Folds Collection, today I am sharing another card using this die, folding the card the opposite way, so you have a double gatefold on the front.

To decorate my card I used the pug and sentiment from Pink Ink Designs Pawsome Pooch stamp set. I just love that cute pug wearing the tutu, it reminds me of a pug I know LOL!

Here is a look at my card when it is fully opened. I added the "Sugar Pug Fairy" sentiment to the inside panel as well as the wand and paw print which are also included in the stamp set.

I used pink woodgrain paper for my layered panels which I found as a digital paper on Etsy.

Here is a look at the back of my card, I added a birthday sentiment combining sentiments from an older There She Goes Pugalicious stamp set and a birthday sentiment from Card Making Magic.

I also stamped the top half of the pug in the lower left hand corner.

Sending Birthday Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog, today I am sharing a birthday themed Pop-up Mini Slimline card.

For my card today, I have used the Little Twist Panel Pop-up die set which I used on this top folding Mini Slimline card. When this was first released Karen Burniston mentioned that the card needed a mini of 3 1/2 inches for this die to work and I have been wanting to make a top folding mini slimline card using this die set for a while.

To decorate my card I used papers from Made To Surprise. I also used Karen Burniston's Big Birthday Charms; Happy Birthday and Happy Birthday Shadow dies.

The sentiment at the bottom of the card uses a sentiment from a Creative Craft Products stamp set. This was layered using the Labels - Crosshatch die set.

For the front of the card I used the Short Rectangles - Crosshatch die set. I also used the presents from the Big Birthday Charms and the Labels - Crosshatch die set.

The sentiment is from the Stamping Village Birthday Stamp set.

Drive In Movie

Hi Crafty Friends,

Who remembers Drive Ins??? The used to be so popular when I was growing up and when my kids were younger. I have many happy memories of going to see a movie at the Drive In. Unfortunately they aren't as popular as they used to be and to my knowledge there are only two left in South East Queensland where I live. One of those two is not all that far from me, about 10 to 15 minutes and it's funny as I had just finished making this card when my daughter messaged me to say she and her sister were going to that Drive in to see a movie the following night.

Ok back to my card ... MFT Stamps recently received their At the Movies Card Kit and as you can see, I decided to order it. There are so many different ways this can be used. For my first card using the kit I decided to create a Drive In scene.

I used Creative Craft Products High Centre Stepper Card die set to create the Centre Step Card base, I really like the wider card base for this style of card as it is allowing me to be fun scenic cards.

It's probably hard to tell, but I also added people to each of the cars using the Heads Up Die-namics set which is included in the kit.

I created the grey base for the ground using a border die from a Trinity Stamps Slimline Great Outdoors Borders & Builders die set.

Here is a look at the inside of the card, I added a number of the elements that I used on the front of the card. The sentiment on the screen is from Crafter's Companion's Once Upon A Time stamp set, I thought that worked well with the image on the screen on the front of the card. I also added a birthday sentiment underneath the screen.

Blooming Marvellous Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing another Fancy Fold Card using dies from Creative Craft Products, this card uses the Honeycomb Card die set.

Depending how you fold this card, it can have various looks. I decided to have the centre panel so it was in front of the card rather than set back.

To decorate my card I used My Creative Life's The Gift of Giving die set.

The card can fold flat and measures approximately 6 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall.

The sentiment is from the Made To Surprise Funky Flowers stamp set.

Here is a look at the back of the card, I added a birthday sentiment to the centre panel using the My Creative Life's Fabulous Sentiments stamp set.

I added two of the flowers used on the front of the card on the sentiment panel for some added interest.

And finally a photo of the back of the card, when the card is folded. This could be the front of the card with say a panel in the centre which is then opened to reveal a sentiment or whatever. I may do that next time I play with this die set.

Cello There

Cello there everyone!

Today I am sharing a Pinwheel Tower Card using a die set from Creative Craft Products new Fancy Folds Collection. This die set is the Pinwheel Card die which makes a 5 inch x 7 inch pinwheel card.

For my card today, I have made a music themed thank you card for my grandchildren's music teacher. She teaches one the cello and the other the violin so this card can be given to her from both of them. They won't need this card until December, but I like to made the cards when the inspiration hits and when I was looking through the stamps/dies on my desk to see what would work for this card that large cello would ... so I went with it.

All the musical instruments, the music paper and music sentiment stamps are all from Paper Discovery's Lost In Music Collection, I picked a few of these sets up last year when Craft Stash were having their 40% sales.

The music border is an older die from my stash by CC Designs. The music note dies around the card are from MFT Stash and also is an older set.

I used the "Thanks, Teacher Line Border" die on the left panel of this side of the pinwheel card. I added the stamped violin and music notes to the white panel on the right hand side which is also from the Music Play On Sentiment stamp set from Paper Discovery.

I added a teacher sentiment to the centre of this panel using sentiments from a Heffy Doodle and a Sunny Studio Stamps stamp sets.

For this last side of the pinwheel card, I added another of the music borders to the left panel. On the main panel I added two violin's as well as the "#1 teacher" sentiment using older die sets.

The card folds flat to fit into a 5 x 7 envelope.

Other Supplies:

  • Music Border Die - CC Designs (discontinued)
  • Music Notes Die-namics - MFT Stamps (discontinued)
  • Teacher Word Die - Heffy Doodles

All That Jazz

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I have another "Roaring Twenties" themed card to share with you using stamps and dies from Crafter's Companion and dies from Creative Craft Products.

The base of my card uses one of the new die sets from Creative Craft Products Fancy Folds Collection, this one is the A6 Window Card die set. This card folds down to a card that measures 4 1/4 inches x 6 inches.

To decorate my card I used Crafter's Companion's Showgirl die set. I die cut this image from both gold mirror and black cardstock, offsetting the black behind the gold slightly to create a shadow. I turned this into a shaker card before adding it to the centre of the card.

I used the "All That Jazz" sentiment from Crafter's Companion's All That Jazz stamp set. I die cut the sentiment using the label dies included in the A6 Window Card die set. The label was a little longer than the sentiment, so after die cutting the label once, I then repositioned the label so it was closer to the other side of the words and die cut again.

I added a few gold metallic pearls to the card.

Here you can see the card when it is folded ready to be placed in an envelope.

Here is a look at the back of my card, as I have the 12 x 12 Roaring Twenties Paper Pad, I decided to decorate the panels on the back of the card.

I added a birthday sentiment using the Shine Like The Stars stamp set.

Have A Wheely Great Day!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog! Today I am sharing a fun Slimline card I created using products from Lawn Fawn and Hello Bluebird.

In Lawn Fawn's latest release back in February, they released a fun Ferris wheel stamp set called Wheely Great Day which as you can see I purchased and used on my card today along with an older Lawn Fawn Stamp set called Coaster Critters. I didn't have enough room on my card to used the roller coaster from the Coaster Critters stamp set, however the cute animals and accessories in that set were handy to use to complete the scene on this card.

I pulled out my Black Widow Wax Colouring Pencils to colour all of the images, I figured as they were all small it was a good way to practise.

I used Hello Bluebird's Slimline Skating Pond Scene die set, which I have been wanting to use for a while. As you can see, I didn't use it as intended with ice in the area that I coloured grey. I figured that area could be concrete and a perfect place for a fair.

For the inside of the card I created a pop-up card, using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

I also decorated the inside of the card, using Lawn Fawn's Raffle Ticket die set. As I only used 5 colours of the rainbow when colouring the images on the front of the card, I decided to only use those same colours on the inside.

I used sentiments from both the Wheely Great Day and Coaster Critters stamp set to add my sentiment to the pop-up label.

Cut Above the Rest

Hi Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my blog. Today I am sharing a male themed birthday card I created recently.

I received the Spellbinders Toolbox Collection for my birthday, so of course I had to play with some of the products from the collection. For this card I used the All the Tools die set and the coordinating sentiment stamp set. I die cut the tools that would be metal from silver holographic cardstock and then used coloured cardstock for the remainder of the pieces.

For the base of my card, I used the Made to Surprise By Sam Catcott's 5 x 7 Side Panel die set.

For the sentiments I used a mix of Made To Surprise sentiment stamps and one of the sentiments from the Spellbinders All The Tools Sentiment set.

I added a sentiment panel to the back of the card, so I could add another sentiment. I also added another hammer from the All the Tools die set. I stamped the nails below the hammer which is from The Greetery's Dad's Jokes - Nailed It stamp set.

Happiest Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a birthday themed Waterfall card using a tutorial by Sam Calcott, you can find her tutorial here. I have made a number of different waterfall cards in the past in all different shapes and sizes and with and without dies. For my card today I have created a 5 x 7 card with the waterfall portion taking up most of the width of the card.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

For the first page of my waterfall, I used the presents stamps from Made To Surprise by Sam Calcott's Happy Days Stamp/Die set. I also added a sentiment which is from Creative Craft Products Birthday & Celebrations Sentiment Set.

When you pull the tab at the bottom of the card, it reveals the next page. Here I used the cake and balloons from the Made To Surprise Happy Birthday Stamp Set from the Pop Up Wiper Book Collection.

I used Black Widow Pencils to colour all the images on this card, I am enjoying playing with a different medium to add colour to some of my projects.

Pulling the tab a little more it reveals the birthday poem from the same Made to Surprise stamp set that I used on the previous page. I also added a sentiment to the tab which is revealed fully when you have pulled the tab out completely, it's from the Showstopper Sentiments stamp set.

The papers I used for my card is from the Made To Surprise Bright & Beautiful Paper Pad, I used different colours of the rainbow on each section of the card.

For the inside of my card, I added two sentiments from the Showstopper Sentiments stamp set. I also added two candles which is from the Happy Days Stamp/Die Set.
