Christmas Village Triple Step

 Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas scene Triple Step Card using some of the new dies from Divinity Designs November/December release.

For the base of my card I used Divinity Designs Triple Step Card with Layers die set.

For the patterned paper layers I used papers from the Christmas Collection 2019 paper pad.

To create the Christmas village, I used the Slimline House & Layers Silhouettes & Tree & Hill Silhouettes die sets.

The sentiments are from the Snowman & Friends stamp set which were layered using the Sentiment Strips die set.

For the inside of the card I added the Christmas sentiment using the Merry Christmas & Layers 3 die set.

I added the house border from the House & Layers Silhouettes die set.

Snappy Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a fun pop-up card using some of the new dies from the Karen Burniston Products - KB Riley LLC November release.

Here is a quick video to see my card in action.

I love the animals and characters that can be created using the Bitty Ball Pop-up die set and the Animal and Character Add-on die sets that Karen Burniston has release. With the November release, Karen has designed another die set Animal Add-ons 4 which allows you to create a Crocodile/Alligator; Frog and Octopus.

As I live in Australia and we have crocodiles not alligators I am calling mine a crocodile.

I created a 5 inch x 7 inch card as I needed to make room for the crocodile's snout and tail.

I used the alphabet dies to add the word "SNAPPY" and then added the stamped "birthday" which I stamped onto white cardstock and then cut out and adhered under the die cut sentiment.

I used the Rectangles - Crosshatch die set to add the rectangle panels to the back panel of my card. This allows room for the die cut sentiment and a place to write a hand written greeting. The "Sending Hugs" sentiment is from the new Word Set 14 - Hugs die set.

I added the flap from the Flap and Closure die set to the bottom panel of my card, adding magnets behind the patterned paper to allow the card to stay closed when needed.

As the focus of this card is on the inside, I kept the front simple. I used the Ovals - Crosshatch for the layers to which I added the "Smile" sentiment which is also from the Word Set 14 - Hugs die set.

I added the cute little crocodile from the new Bayou Animals die set.

I also added a border along the top of the card which is from the Border Blends - Trims die set.

Christmas Blessings

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed Shaker Card I created using products from Divinity Designs October 2021 Blessings Box.

I used the Starry Night Background die to die cut a piece of white glitter cardstock, this was layered to a piece of patterned paper from the Winter Collection Paper Pad. I used the Matting Rectangles and the A2 Landscape Cardbase with Layer die sets to create the base of my card.

To decorate I used the Vintage Ornament Shaker Set 2 die set to create shaker ornaments using copper metallic cardstock and copper and silver sequins. I adhered the ornaments to the left side of my card. I decorated the top of the ornaments using the pine branch from the Pinecones and Pine Branches die set.

For the sentiment I used the "Christmas Blessings" sentiment from the Christmas Season stamp set which is also included in the Blessings Box. I layered the sentiment using the Rectangles and Double Stitched Rectangles die sets.

For the inside of the card I used the Double Stitched Rectangles and Rectangles die sets to create my layers.

I added another of the sentiments from the Christmas Season stamp set towards the top left side of my card. I die cut another of the ornaments using the Vintage Ornaments Shaker Set 2 die set.

Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

It’s challenge time with the “Crazies” over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog. As challenge hostess for the month, I finish off the month with one last challenge.

Last Monday was Go For A Ride Day. For our challenge this week, create a card that features something you might ride on … car, bus, bike, truck, horse etc.

I had used this Honey Bee Stamps Big Pickup sets last month for a challenge, using it as a shaped card. However as I had recently purchased the newest Christmas themed add-on stamp set for these sets, I decided to pull it out to use for my card for today's challenge.

I created a 5 inch x 7 inch card to use to create my Christmas scene, this size works well with the pickup truck, giving more room to create a scene around it.

For the front of the card I used the Big Pickup Tailgate stamp set to create the truck and then used the Loads of Holiday Cheer stamp set to use for the trees, elves and all the gifts etc in the back of the pickup truck.

I used The Ton's Slimline Dots Coverplate to use for the snowy sky.

For the snow at the bottom of the card I used Honey Bee Stamps Horizon Slimline Borders die set.

As the Big Pickup Tailgate stamp set also has the Big Pickup Cab stamp set that coordinates with it which shows the front view of the truck, I wanted to incorporate that on the inside of the card.

I added the front of the pick up truck to the left side of my card, which is behind the truck on the front. I also added more trees, snow and an elf.

I love that the new Loads of Holiday Cheer stamp set includes the front and back view of Santa which fits into the truck.

On the right side of my card, I added more snow, trees, elves and Santa's sack.

For the sentiment I used Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up to create the pop up. The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Pickup Lines for the top two lines and Elizabeth Craft Designs Holiday Sparkle stamp set which is part of the Classic Christmas Special Kit.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the “Crazies” cards over on the Crazy 4 Challenges blog and also their individual blogs for more details.

Snowflake Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed square card I created recently using more of the new dies from Divinity Designs November/December release.

To create the square card base I used Divinity Designs Square Card Base with Layer die set which I die cut using blue cardstock.

To decorate I used the Snowflake Square Background die which I die cut from white cardstock. I used the layer die included in the Square Card Base to die cut the patterned paper which is from the Christmas Collection 2019 Paper Pad.

I added the Christmas sentiment using the Merry Christmas & Layers 3 die set.

For the inside of my card I added a left over strip of the patterned paper to the left side of the card. I stamped a Christmas sentiment using one of the sentiment dies from the Christmas Wishes stamp set.

To A Fabulous Teacher

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Kelly Santi our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge.

Thankful leaves - Being that it’s Thanksgiving, create a card with a thankful theme – bonus points for using a leaf/leaves somewhere on your card!

Since I live in Australia, I have no need for Thanksgiving themed cards as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving down here. But I did need to make one last Teacher Thank you card for my grandchildren to use for their teachers at the end of the school year which is coming up in a few weeks. My card also doesn't include a leaf/leaves, however the pages of a book can also be referred to leaves.

As you can see by the photo above, I have created a Slimline Pop-up card using Karen Burniston's new Little Labels Pop-up die set.

To decorate my card I used Picket Fence Studios Your Next Book Dear stamp set. I also used Heffy Doodle Stamps Teach Me Words stamp set with coordinating stamp set.

I added the Crosshatch - Ovals die set so I could add a place to write a handwritten message.

For the front of the card, I added the same patterned papers I used to create the front of my card. I added grey cardstock to the front of the card, to give us the footpath.

I added the "Thank you" to the front of the card, between the girl and boy

Don't forget to check out the CCEE Stampers blog (goes live 12 AM EST) to see the rest of the creations the CCEE Stampers created this week. You can also see more details of their creations on their individual blogs:

Welcome Baby

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a baby themed Slimline Pop-up card to share today, that I made for a friend who is becoming a Grandma for the first time to give to her daughter when the big event happens.

Now before I get into details of my card, I thought you would all want to know that Karen Burniston is having a Black Friday Sale from 22nd - 29th November. 20% off all Pop-up dies excluding November release dies.

I created a Slimline card which measures 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches. I layered each of the panels with patterned paper and cardstock.

For the pop-up portion of my card I used Karen Burniston's Little Labels Pop-up die set. To decorate the two outer labels on the pop-up, I added the elephant and giraffe from the Safari Animals die set. For the centre label I added the "It's a Boy" sentiment which is an older Printworks stamp in my stash.

I decorate the lower rectangle block under the pop-up using the ribbon/hearts border from Border Blends - Trims die set.

The baby on the lower right side of my card uses a baby die set from Marianne Designs. I added the baby bottle which is from Karen Burniston's Baby Charms die set.

To finish off the inside of the card I added the baby verse which is Kaszazz' Twinkle Twinkle stamp.

I kept the front of my card simple as the focus is on the inside of the card.

I added the sentiment using the Welcome die set and the Baby Block die from the Baby Charms die set. The sentiment was layered onto ovals from the Ovals - Crosshatch die set.

I decorated the oval using the rompers and duck from the Baby Charms die set.

As I love making Slimline cards, I couldn't wait to play with the new Little Labels Pop-up die set which has been designed to fit into a Slimline card. This die will fit into a card that is 3 1/2 inches wide x 6 1/2 inches, to create my slimline card I made my card 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches.

I used a white top folding slimline card for my card base and then added green papers to the base of my card (grass) and blue to the back panel (sky). I also used the hill border from the Long Nature Edges die set to add a grass hill along the front base of my card.

I die cut the pop-up die from the  Little Labels Pop-up die set from blue cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card. I used one of the new borders from the Border Blends - Trims die set, die cutting it from grey cardstock ... the rocks around the pond.

To decorate the card I used the frog, lily pad, cattails and fly from the Bayou Animals die set. I added a frog to the two outer labels and added a stamped sentiment to the centre label.

I used the "Hugs" sentiment from the Word Set 14 - Hugs die set to add the die cut sentiment to the base of my card.

For the front of the card, I used the blue and green papers I used on the inside of my card to create my sky and grass. The grass was die cut using the hill border die included in the Long Nature Edges die set.

I die cut two frogs, four cattails and two flies and adhered them to my card.

I used two of the labels from the Crosshatch - Labels die set to add the label for my sentiment. I added the "Hoppy Birthday sentiment) to the label.

Merry Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Christmas themed Slimline card using products from Divinity Designs October 2021 Blessings Box.

To create the slimline portion of my card I used the Slimline Card Base; Slimline Rectangles and Slimline Pierced Layering Rectangles. I used one of the patterned papers from the Slimline Candy Cane  Collection.

To decorate my card I used the ornament dies from the Vintage Ornaments Shaker Set 3 die set. I die cut the ornaments using gold, red, green and white glitter cardstock.

On the right hand side of my card I added the sentiment using the Slimline Merry Christmas & Layers die set.

For the inside of the card I added a strip of the candy cane striped paper along the bottom of the rectangle panel. I added one more ornament to the left side of my card.

The sentiment is from the Christmas Season stamp set. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and then used the Sentiment Strips die set to die cut the sentiment and layer.
