Miss You

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month, finishes off the month with one last challenge.

The rose is the national flower for June while the pearl is June’s gemstone. Lynn is asking the CCEE Stampers to include both of these beauties on their card for this week’s CCEE Challenge!

I was asked recently if I would make a "Miss You/Thinking of You" card for a friend to send to a mutual friend. As I knew I needed to make my rose themed card, it was an easier request to fulfill.

I pulled out my Pinkfresh Studio Garden Roses Stamp, die and stencil set to create the roses on my card. I used inks from Catherine Pooler Designs to colour the roses.

For the background of my card I used my new Anna Griffin Matelasse Slimline Embossing Folder. I have been after this embossing folder for ages, but up until now it has been impossible to get sent to Australia. When I saw it was for sale on the Scrapbook.Com website I had to order it immediately. It does come in a set of 4 Slimline Embossing Folders.

I added the "Miss You" sentiment to the right side of the card using Honey Bee Stamps Miss You Big Time Stamp/die set.

To finish my card I added some Matte Silver Metallic Pearls which I almost forgot.

For the inside of my card, I added a few more roses around the edges of my card. I also added the "Thinking of You" sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps Thinking of You Big Time stamp set.

Teacher Accordion

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a Teacher thank you card I created recently, I figured it was time to make a start on the thank you cards I make each year for my grandchildren's teachers. School isn't out until December, so I have heaps of time.

For my card today I created an accordion card using Karen Burniston's new Landscape Rectangle Accordion die set. I also used the new Short Rectangles - Crosshatch die set to die cut the striped paper and also the centre rectangles.

I like to purchase one or two new teacher themed stamps or dies each year. Clearly Besotted recently released a number of super cute school themed stamp sets, which were perfect and will get lots of use in the future. For my card today I used their Stationery Plushies stamp set, I added the larger image to the left page of my card which contains the pencil holder, book, plant and lamp.

I added a number of the smaller images to my last page.

For the sentiment in the centre page I added the "teacher" die cut and stamped "Thank You" using Honey Bee Stamps Special Teacher stamp and coordinating die set.

My card was going to be just a two page accordion, however as I wanted to add both sets of images and a sentiment I decided on a three page card. I don't normally decorate the back pages of an accordion card, but again I wanted to add one more sentiment (which ended up being two) and a blank page for a personal greeting to the teacher. Fortunately I had plenty of the striped paper so I decided to go for it.

The sentiments on the back use sentiments from a Sunny Studio Stamps stamp set, I added some more of the cute plushies to two of the panels.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

From My Kitchen To Yours

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a kitchen themed Slimline Pop-up card I created recently using a couple of the add on sets from Hero Arts May My Monthly Hero kit.

My card is a side folding Slimline card that measures 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches. I added diagonal striped paper to the top portion of the card to create a "wall" and woodgrain paper on the bottom to create a "kitchen bench".

To decorate my card I added the crocks from the Hero Arts Kitchen Crocks die set and all the tools are from the Kitchen Tools die set. The tools were die cut from silver pearlescent and white cardstock and pieced together and coloured as needed.

I added flowers to both of the crocks using flowers from Spellbinders Petite Floral Potpourri die set.

The sentiment at the top of the card is from the stamp set included in the May 2022 stamp set. It is layered using the label dies from Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set.

For the inside of my card I created a double pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Katherine Label Pop-up die set. I added another sentiment from the May 2022 kit to the bottom label. The "birthday" sentiment is from a Spellbinders stamp set.

I added the rolling pin and kitchen tools to decorate the inside of the card.

Thinking of You

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a male themed card to share with you today, using some of the new dies from the Divinity Designs June release.

To create my card I used the new Divinity Designs A2 Pierced Multi Windows die, I die cut this panel from a orange cardstock and two from black cardstock and layered them together. I then adhered these to the black panel die cut using the Matting Rectangle die and then finally onto a top folding A2 card which was die cutting using the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer die set.

I used the die once more to die cut patterned paper panels from the Landscape Paper Pad which I adhered inside all the window openings.

Using the black inner windows left over from die cutting the black frames, I used the Curvy Slopes die to die cut the ground area for four of the windows.

I then die cut the cowboys, cactus and birds and adhered them to the windows.

Finally I used the All Occasion Foiling/Die Duo set to black foil the "Thinking of You" sentiment. I used the negative portion of the foil in conjunction with the Solid Foiling Plate to get the negative image of the sentiment.

For the inside of the card I used the layering die included in the A2 Portrait Card Base with Layer die set and the Matting Rectangle die to create the white and black layers.

I then added two more of the images included in the Cowboys and Cactus Silhouettes die set.

I then added the "Hi There" sentiment which is also included in the All Occasions Foiling/Die Duo set.

Butterfly Slimline Easel

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.

Apparently June 20 - 26 is National Insect Week. So for our challenge this week we are to feature some type of creepy crawly creature on your CCEE design this week.

As I have purchased a number of butterfly related products this year, some still waiting to be played with. I decided to pull one of the stamp sets out for my card today ... this is the Gina K Designs Spread Your Wings stamp set. I wouldn't class it as creepy, but it is an insect.

I created an Easel card. To create the background on my card I used Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes die, die cutting the die from white cardstock and then adhering to a panel of pink cardstock.

I used Waffle Flower Crafts Oversized Hello Hot Foil Plate with the coordinating die and black foil to create the large "Hello" sentiment.

Along the edge of the base of my card I added a border using Pinkfresh Studio's Slim Lacy Edges die set.

The Easel card is held open using the butterfly themed sentiment, which is also included in the Gina K Designs Spread Your Wings stamp set.

Here is a look at my card when it is closed ready to be placed in an envelope.

Just For You

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing a floral slimline card that I created recently.

To create my card I used Stampendous' Slim Pop Blooms Cling Stamp. I stamped the image twice onto white cardstock, once using black ink and ones using a dark pink ink. I coloured the flowers on the black inked image and then cut out the flowers to mount over the flower image on the pink inked image.

The stamp although called a slimline stamp, is an odd size. So I trimmed the image to fit a slimline sized card as best I could. The finished size of my card is 3 3/4 inches x 8 1/4 inches.

I added a sentiment to the lower right hand corner of the card using a sentiment from a Creative Card Products stamp set I recently received.

I am always in need for get well cards, so I added a get well sentiment to the inside of the card. I also added a couple of the flowers.

Super Duper Birthday

 Hi Crafty Friends,

Apparently my grand puppy Frankie has been invited to a birthday party, so my daughter asked me to make a pug themed birthday card for her.

I recently received an order from Clearly Besotted and one of the stamp sets I received was an updated version of the Super Pug, I think it is already discontinued but as it was cheap and had extra stamps included in it I had to have it.

I created a Mini Slimline Card using Mini Slimline dies from Lawn Fawn, the grass is a Slimline die also from Lawn Fawn.

I added a yellow flash thingy to the top right hand corner of the card.

For the inside of the card, I added another grass border and one of the pugs. I also added two sentiments which are Whimsy Stamps Wrinkles stamp set.

You're Tea-rrific

Hi Crafty Friends,

I have a "tea" themed Slimline card to share with your today using new dies from Lawn Fawn.

To create the Slimline portion of the card I used Lawn Fawn's Large Slimline with Sliders die set. I used the largest rectangle in the set to die cut a panel of white card, striped paper and woodgrain papers. I trimmed the panels down as necessary and adhered to the white slimline rectangle panel. This was then adhered to a top folding white slimline card that measures 3 1/2 inches x 8 1/2 inches.

For the tea pot, cups, saucers and sugar bowl I used the Stitched Teapot and Stitched Teacup die sets. I die cut each of the elements from pink and patterned paper and paper pieced the two together. The sugar cubes were cut from white glitter cardstock and the spoon from silver mirror cardstock.

I used a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Tea-rrific Day stamp set to finish off the front of the card.

For the inside of my card, I added a strip of woodgrain paper along the bottom edge to form a table top. I added another cup and saucer to the right hand side of the card.

The sentiment is an older one I have had in my stash for years by The Cottage Stamper.

Divinity Designs Blessings Box

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today I am sharing two cards I created using stamps, dies and papers from Divinity Designs April 2022 Blessings Box.

For my first card I created a Mini Slimline card using Divinity Designs Mini Slimline Card Base and Mini Slimline Rectangles die sets. I used papers from the Sunset Skies Slimline Sized Paper Pad for the background of my card.

To decorate my card I used images from the Beach Silhouettes die set.

The sentiment which is Hawaiian and means "Happy Birthday" is from the Mahola stamp set.

For the inside of my card I added a couple more of the images from the Beach Silhouettes die set. I also added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Mahola stamp set.

For my second card today I created a square shaker card using the Square Card Base with Layer die set.

I used the Tropical Leaf Square Background die which I die cut from purple cardstock. The paper showing through the background die is from the Sunset Skies Slimline Sized Paper Pad.

I added the "Happy Birthday" sentiment using the birthday sentiment included in the Mahola stamp set. I used one of the pennants from the Double Stitched Pennants die set to die cut the sentiment.

Happy Beer Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's challenge time with my friends over on the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Lynn McAuley our challenge hostess for the month, continues to issue the challenges.

In the USA, this coming Sunday is Father’s Day (In Australia we have to wait until September). Create a card for the father of your choice (be it your father, your son, a neighbor, a friend, etc.) personalizing it by showcasing his favorite hobby. Turn it into a birthday card if you would rather! Any occasion will do as long as it is a masculine card featuring a hobby.

I have a few male themed stamps/dies I have been wanting to play with for a while now, so this challenge was the perfect opportunity for me to get to use a few. For my card today I used the beer themed stamps & dies which were recently released by MFT Stamps. As the sentiment says "Happy Beer Day" a play on the sentiment Happy Birthday, I decided to create a birthday card rather than a Father's Day card. I always need both.

Lynn also asked that our card features a hobby. I remember many years ago that my husband used to enjoy making his own beers, so I figured this would fit that part of the challenge.

As you can see I created a Slimline card using slimline dies from Picket Fence Studios. I had to join the plaid paper to get it to fit the length of my card, but fortunately the beer mug hides it.

The beer mugs were created using MFT Stamps Frosty Beer Mugs die-namics set. I coloured the "beer" using various coloured yellow/orange inks which I have listed in the supply list below. I wanted the handles of each of the beer mugs to face the outer edge of my card, so I flipped one of the beer mugs and used the reverse side.

The sentiment is from MFT Stamps Here's To You stamp set.

For the inside of the card, I created a pop-up card using Karen Burniston's Little Label Pop-up die set.

To decorate the labels, I added some tiny beer mugs using MFT Stamps Pint Sized Die-namics. I also added a sentiment to the centre label using another of the sentiments included in the Here's To You stamp set.

Here is one last look at the inside of my card, so you can see the pop-up portion of the card a little better.
